Sensational two-tone color combinations reveal the striking appearance of the stylish design. The modawrap cable manager is included to control the length of the colored cable while listening and provide earphone storage when idle.

I had these for a few months now but never used them still last week. WOW! I don't know much about earbuds, my creative ones always fell out and sounded horrid. The I-pod ear phones the same. I thought this was my lot unless I wanted to wear full size head phones which are a chore to carry. I was riding the subway on a long commute and put these on. I set my Ipod to random. I worked the earphones till they fit and hit play. I was startled! I sat upright and looked around. Could everybody hear what I was hearing? The bored looks suggested not. But I had been transported. From Aretha to Bach I was hearing all the music! From James Taylor to Mos Def I was hearing clarity I didn't think was possible in earphones. The noise of the subway faded away and I was in my own private listening room. This is bass driven so you may want to adjust your equalizer

  • March 13, 2010Great Bass, but can be overpowering.

Well, I will make it clear in the beginning: If bass is important to you, this is the earbud to get. I've had these earbuds for about a month and overall, these get the job done well. I personally find the bass overpowering when listening to Rap/Hip-Hop, but music like rock and alternative sounds more balanced.

The fit is comfortable for the most part, but I need to insert the buds a little far in my ear for maximum sound fidelity. When I push it in further, it can get irritating during extended use. I did try all 3 sizes and the medium fits me the best.

The sound isolation is fine. No complaints there. If you are in a windy place, you might get hear some whistling from the wind, but that is normal for most earbuds with sound isolation.

NOTE: wash the silicon ear pieces with warm water and soap on occasion to keep the best seal on your ears.

The durability is questionable at this point. The cords are thin and long. The cord connecting to the individual ear pieces seem like they can come apart from the ear pieces easily. If you roll up the cords and unroll them, they tend to retain the bends on the cords. So far I have had no incidents, as in quality defects or durability loss, but I am more cautious than most people.

I recently bought JBuds J2 Premium Hi-Fi Noise-Isolating Earbuds (White/Gray) due to the cheap price, and right now, I'm enjoying those a bit more. It has a balanced quality compared to these V-moda's.

If this review was only about sound quality, I'd give this 4 stars. The questionable durability makes it a 3.

  • March 12, 2010Great headphones, decent build quality, AWESOME customer service

I have now had four pairs of these headphones (and convinced my sister and her roommate to each buy a pair as well). Amazing bass response and sound insulation for the price. I don't think I would every buy any other headphones again on my current budget if I had the choice.

The thing, though, is the build quality - like I said, I've now had four pairs, and it's because of three failures. After eight months to a year, invariably one ear starts buzzing or stops responding completely. Now, I treat these headphones like crap (roll them up in an exposed pocket, drop them from height, I've even put a pair through the washing machine) so I can't say that V-MODA is making compromises on construction, but I would say I would like them to last a bit longer. However, the customer service and warranty/replacement plan is AMAZING: they're currently replacing my replacements for a pair that stopped working in 2008 for free, no questions asked. Go with these headphones and you won't regret it.

  • March 10, 2010Love them.....

Okay for the money, these are fantastic. Sound is deep and rich, blocks out all outside noise and you will find that you need to turn the volume down as it comes in crystal clear and loud. The only thing I don't like about them is the god awful color. Believe the picture, it's accurate. I believed the word "Blue"....I didnt' realize they were actually Aqua. yuck.

  • March 7, 2010Poor Quality

Owned 2 pair in the last 2 months. 1st pair stopped emitting sound after 3 weeks. Exchanged them for a new set and the 2nd set stopped working after 4 weeks.
