Good Pair of Shoes
Good pair of shoes overall. They look great and are comfortable to wear. One small issue I have found with these shoes is due to the polished look, scratches and nicks tend to stand out more than I have experienced with other Skechers shoes. The transaction was really smooth and the shipping was fast.
These aren't that great
I bought these shoes because most people here said they were comfortable. I walk a lot during the day, and the arch support on these shoes is no good. I have never had arch problems before, maybe I'm starting to get old or something, but I think it has to do with these shoes. I'm gonna get some inserts for them and if it improves then I'm blaming the shoes. I will be back here in two weeks to re-review.
These die hard!
I bought a pair of these in black way back in 2002 and finally they are showing some wear around the padded collar. They are still comfortable though a little bit faded from time. Goodness know how long they will end up lasting. I wear them about once a week.
Greatest shoe ever.
I bought my first pair 1998. Ruined them with paint, and got another pair in 2000. Still wearing them after 8 years!!
In the meantime I bought a pair of the oiled brown, oiled black, and a shiny brown. They were all way too easily scuffed in comparison, and can't hold a candle to the original scuff resistant.
I was told by a rep. at a Skechers outlet that they don't make these anymore - that the Alley Cats are all oiled or shined. I will pick up a pair of these from Amazon and will let you know if these are the same.
Co. Issue
Stylish design. Light Weight. Steeltoes bend awkwardly. It's true; you get what you pay for.
