Great Docs at great prices
The docs were exactly what I ordered, they came on time and the price was good.
Be Prepared for a Length "Breaking-In" Period
To echo the reviews of others, I have found these Docs to be quite different from others I have owned. They are now made in China instead of England. Also, the leather is VERY stiff and shoe does not feel that comfortable. I have owned them for a few months and they have started to break in a bit, but normally, Docs shouldn't take that long.
I bought the gaucho (brown) Docs on Amazon and they are the ones I am still "working on." However, I purchased a black pair (same style) from a local shoe store and they are quite comfortable (even though they are also made in China). So this shoe's woes may be due to the particular supplier/retailer for Amazon.
Doc Martens
I have always loved the quality and fit of these shoes, no matter what model I have bought from Doc Marten. But this site had by far the best price and I will always begin my shopping here from now on.
Mhm, okay, but not the best.
Got these shoes around eighth grade. I always wanted to own Doc Martens, and this is when converse shoes were becoming cooler than they should be, so hey, I decided to stick it to the man and get the only pair of Docs I could find in the mall. First problem I noticed is that the shoe is poorly proportioned. The forefoot area is twice as wide as the heel, akin to a Ronald McDonald shoe. Make sure you wear boot cut jeans with these shoes, anything else will not do. Another problem is the laces. Puke. You can always change the laces, just saying. The shoes were also hard to break in. By the time they got comfortable, my feet were too big for them. Bummer.
first
Exactly what I wanted. Sad they don't have half-sizes... (13 1/2 would have been perfect)
