Fine shoe
Years ago, I wore a 13 AA shoe. Over time, my foot grew (or shoe sizes got smaller) and now my other shoes are 14 medium. On seeing that this Lowa Seeker runs small and narrow, I ordered a 15 medium. It fits fine.
It's very well made, surprisingly light weight, and should stand up to the elements for walking and hiking quite well.
I replaced the rather ordinary inner soles with my preferred Powerstep Pinnacle inner sole. I notice that others recommend using Superfeet inner soles; I haven't tried them, but they look similar to the Powerstep.
Looks wise, the D-rings for lacing are a little more visible and bold than they look in the images. It is definitely not a dainty dress shoe in looks.
The bottom tread is big, chunky. The Vibram outer sole is molded, not replaceable; it will probably outlast me so that's ok. The bottom is rather (but not totally) stiff from the ball of the foot back, and more flexible forward to the toes - all good. I don't feel any steel shank in the arch, rather just more rigid construction behind the ball of the foot.
The interior is lined and cushy. This interior foam and Gortex, along with the more flexible toe, makes the shoe feel good right away. The flexible toe would be useless for rock climbing, but it's been a long time since that mattered to me.
I think I just adapted this pair of shoes as my number one preferred pair.
Good Boot
This is a good boot if your foot is a little narrow. It is comfortable and long lasting.
