trying to go green and starting with these bags
When I moved form AL to PA--thats right I retired in the opposite direction of eveyone else-- I discovered that several stores sold these bags so I asked for some for a gift and got these. I am very pleased for several reasons:1. They are light weight and fold up for storage on my bike (more green influence!)better than gusseted heavier bags.
2. The straps are long enough to go over my shoulder even full which is a great way to carry things.
3. Getting 6 at a time I can keep some in my car, my husband/s car and my house.
4.Putting glass bottles etc in them feels much more secure than the flimsy plastic bags.
5. And--I finally can say I am turning green-biggest benefit of all.
WashableGrocery Bags
I have been most pleased with ht e washable grocery bags. They save me from using the plastic type bags whcih just end up in the trash. The washable grocery bags are sturdy and easy to handle. Again I am most pleased with my purchase.Great for grocery shopping
These are an excellent replacement for plastic grocery bags, and perfect for my lifestyle. Since I'm only shopping for two (and without a ton of storage space), I usually only buy enough to fill (really fill) a hand-basket. (Like the size at every grocery store.) Three or four of these bags usually do the job perfectly, and they're a GREAT size for carrying home, especially since I walk. The handles are a good length for shoulder-carrying, too. Other reviewers have said they're a little small, but I find that they hold as much as a standard grocery bag. A straight eco-friendly replacement!The only downside is that the cotton on the inside of the bag around the seam is beginning to fray along the hem, but I imagine a whip-stitch could take care of that quite easily. Otherwise, a great cotton tote!
