No way are these worth the "retail price". I would give them 1 star if I had to buy them at retail price.

If you can get them at a significantly lower than "retail" price, they are a good alternative to sandals. You can wear these in any situation where you'd wear sandals.

At the price I got them for, they will make good cheap gifts.

Extra bonus points to the manufacturer for giving shoes to children in Africa. I don't really think this should weigh into your purchasing decision, though, unless you're a hippie going for conspicuous consumption, in which case, these will probably go great with your toyota prius.

Too narrow

I had been intrigued by the concept of Tom's shoes but unfortunately when my pair arrived they were too narrow for me.

Awesome shoes for a great cause

Every time a pair of TOMS is purchased, one is sent to a third-world country. They're extremely comfortable, light, and they got here fast.

Shoes for you and children too

The shoe is very comfortable - great for the beach, backyard or just a quick trip to the store. I wear mine everywhere. These shoes are only for the most casual of dress. The biggest benefit is that TOM'S give a pair to a child for each pair purchased. These will make great presents for all of my friends.
