Acorn slipper

I purchased these for my husband as a Chrismas present. Was disappointed..expected more considering the cost. The bottom was not real cushy (soft) and he didn't really like them. Acorn has a very good reputation and I know other people who LOVE their Acorns.
Maybe we will try another style some time in the future.

Acorn Men's Romeo II Slippers

I was looking for good, durable and confortable men's slippers. I have one ankle (my left) that is permanently damaged and swollen as the result of torn ligaments and subsequent botched surgery, so find a pair of slippers that fit without binding is difficult. When I received the slippers, I looked them over carefully. Yup - made in China; but today what isn't? But, I have learned that it isn't where they are made but to whose specifications and how good is the quality control. The construction is excellent. No loose or mis-aligned pieces, no gaps in seams and the durable sole is bound to the uppers in a very solid manner. At first, like always, I anticipated a break-in period, even for slippers, for my left slipper as it had to adjust to my bad ankle. But, no break-in. They fit very comfortable from the first time wearing them. I have had them about 3 weeks now and I wear them daily in the house approximately 6 hours each day. They fit so well, I don't want to take them off. This is my first pair of Acorn slippers and although I was a little leery of spending $65 for a pair of slippers, they are worth every penny. When these wear out, Acorn will have a repeat customer. Looking at what I just wrote, I find that I have raved over these slippers; and I don't rave over any product - usually just the opposite. But hey, it's great to find an exception to what one normally expects to find and this pair of Acorn slippers is exceptional!
