Not Safety Shoes!

I just received a pair of these shoes yesterday. They are very nice shoes and seem comfortable so far. However, I work in a factory where safety shoes are required. I got these shoes for work. They are indeed steel toed shoes, but they have warning labels on the box and inside the shoes saying that they are not "safety shoes". They are intended to be fashion apparel only. Why Dr. Martins would make a steel toe shoe which is not a safety shoe is beyond me. I didn't even know such a thing existed. I'm sure they are excellent shoes, just not what I thought I was getting.

Second Pair in 15 years

I bought a pair of 3 eyed steel toed gibsons' 15 years ago and still wear them all the time today. They have been the best shoes I have ever owned and have just now bought a second pair to ensure I will still be wearing them 15 years from now. I go to the bar in them, ride my Harley, and during the winter wear them all day long as an ordinary staple in my wardrobe. The ones I'm wearing now still have probably 4 or 5 years left in them.
