Five starts for the shoe, one star for Shoebuy

I love Rockports, but since I need an extra-wide shoe, I usually buy them online rather than in the store. Never had a problem buying on Amazon before this. Unfortunately, the pair I received from Shoebuy had a couple of problems: The front tip of the sole of one shoe is noticeably misshaped and there is a mar on the toe of the other shoe where the polish had either not been applied properly or had been worn away from improper storing or shipping. In short, in a shoe store there is no way you would buy this pair. In fact, I wonder if they weren't "seconds" being sold at full price, otherwise why wouldn't Shoebuy have returned them to Rockport? Of course, I could pack them up and ship them back. But who wants that hassle? And anyway I needed to wear them right away. So, I still love Rockports -- although now I'm a little disappointed in their quality control because the first problem noted above is clearly a manufacturing defect -- but I will avoid buying from this vendor in the future.

An Excellent Choice

I had been wearing Rockports for many years when I let the salesman at REI talk me into buying a pair of Dunham waterproof oxfords in 2002. I loved the shoes, and I wore them nearly every day until they finally fell to pieces in 2006. They were the best casual shoes I had ever owned, but New Balance had decided to discontinue the Dunham model I liked and I couldn't get another pair. Now, along comes Rockport with a virtual twin of the discontinued Dunham, and I couldn't be more pleased. The fit is excellent, and the shoe has stood up well to the punishment I have given it. I loved the Dunhams, but I'm back in the Rockport fold once again. I'm thinking about buying another pair in a different color.

Good lightweight, comfortable shoe

I walk about 2 blocks to and from the office every day. This show has been very comfortable for that walk. I've had them a month and they still look new. Comfortable on my feet all day long, nice and light. This is my 4th pair of Rockports. The first 2 were outstanding, the 3rd was not so great, very uncomfortable and heavy. Nice to be back in a pair that feels good again.

Great Shoes

This is the 4th pair of Rockports I have owned. These are great. This is the only pair of shoes I have been able to put on brand new and wear the entire day and not make my feet hurt!

Very happy customer

I had similar shoes to these before I bought these. Theses are my replacements. They fit perfect and were shipped out quickly. I have no complaints.
