Love my Eccos

I got these sandals for my upcoming trip to Egypt. I know I will be doing a lot of walking. I have been wearing them alot to see how they will do. I love them. I know I will be able to walk all day and be comfortable.

Blissfully Comfortable

I bought these shoes in the "Atmosphere/Ice White" color, which was more like a beige and off white - not the white you find in sneakers (thank heavens). Be aware these sandals also have black on them, as that color edges all the straps and it is somewhat more prominent than it appeared to me in the picture.

While expensive, these shoes are worth the price. When you walk on them, the cushioning is so good you almost feel like you're sinking into them in a springy way. I've now worn them two days and there has been absolutely no break-in period whatsoever - there isn't a spot on my feet that has been rubbed or irritated in any way.

I have a foot with a very pronounced bunion that makes my foot extremely wide in just one spot. I had developed foot pain at the ball of my foot that a podiatrist has told me is the result of wearing shoes that were too narrow for my bunion, placing primary pressure on foot bones intended to receive secondary pressure. This sandal is perfect for bunions because the part of the shoe that has direct contact with your foot is neoprene and can flex to assume the shape of your foot, giving it the width you need, where you need it.

The sandal adjusts in three places: the top of your foot, across the front of your foot (at the ankle) and at the back of your foot, providing the ability to custom fit the sandal to accommodate the shape and size of your foot.

To give you an idea of the sizing, I wear a 5.5 in US shoes and the European 36 fit me well. The footbed isn't suede, but it's a fabric with no nap and my foot doesn't get/feel sweaty, as sandals with the plastic bottoms make them (and I find uncomfortable).

The only thing that this shoe doesn't have which would make them better is more arch support. Even so, my foot isn't complaining. This is one of the few shoes/sandals that I've ever worn without having any discomfort and absolutely no break-in at all. I will be buying them in more colors. I do wish they had them in a slightly less sporty look - maybe a solid color, but I'll take foot bliss in whatever style I can find them! Don't hesitate to buy these sandals - you won't regret it.
