excellent sandals
I received my order at work, immediately put on the sandals, and walked home in them that day -- and walked to and from work the next day. They are really comfortable, and there was no rubbing or blistering at all. In fact, they felt already broken-in from the moment I put them on. I don't have any problem with the toe thong that another reviewer mentioned. These are a great alternative to regular flip-flops, with better support and more comfortable construction. I love them!
These are a God-send
I was worried about what I would do when I moved to Hawaii. My feet are kind of flat and I was always in pain. On the mainland I could wear full shoes that helped the pain, but I didn't think I'd ever find "thongs" to wear that wouldn't kill my feet. These Elixers are absolutely amazing! I've been in Hawaii for two years now and was fortunate early on to find these. They are well made and have an actual arch. I can wear these shoes all day long and my feet do not hurt, which is miraculous. These are the only shoes I wear now. If you've ever had any kind of foot problems or pain--these are definitely worth a shot. They are the most "supporting" thongs/flip-flops I've seen or felt, and here in Hawaii, I've seen a lot. I've also spent a lot on other "brand name" flip flops--none came close to Teva Elixers. They also hold up really well and clean up nicely.
My most comfortable summer shoe
This is my second pair. The first pair lasted 4 summers and looked and felt great the whole time. I bought the first pair when suffering w/ extreme plantar fiscitis. They were the only shoes I could walk in without pain. They fast became my favorites and a trusted friend. I use them for everyday walking and beach going. They are fantasticly sturdy and comfortable. They hold up to walking lava trails. The best arch support I've ever experienced in a sandal.
toe piece
I like these sandals but I wish the toe piece was made of something more comfortable. I hate the thought of "breaking them in" before I wear them so I don't get blisters on the insides of my toes.
Comfortable and durable
Very comfortable to wear for long periods of time and very durable. Good tread on bottom prevents slipping and protects feet on rough surfaces. For an every-day utility sandal these are great.
